This review is mainly to the volcano roll we ordered yesterday. Supposedly that is what’s on the left side of the image. It is definitely not a volcano roll and not entirely sure what it is. The sushi rolls we got were not good. Everyone is friendly and it’s a really nice place. Just not sure what was going on with the sushi. Friends have told me they have had great experiences so I’ll definitely give it another shot.
A hidden gem in the Westfield area. The staff is a bit young, and not very professional (phones in hand drama). However, the food was delicious. Started with the sample sushi, a solid 8 out of 10. Didn’t seem like each cut was really fresh. We then had the hibachi (steak, shrimp, chicken and lobster). This is where the 5 star comes in. 100% worth the price of admission. If I had a redo, I would skip everything and went right to the hibachi order. Overall, very clean place, tons of potential. Maybe not the place for a special occasion, definitely recommend for a regular dinner.
Actually so amazing came here for my brothers birthday and they not only congratulated him but got him a small free cake! Got me and my friend to buy one. Great advertising, great environment, friendly staff. Our waitress was super helpful, always refilling our drinks and taking out dishes. My favorite place to eat.
Updated review: sushi quality and presentation has improved. Menus have been fixed: though still a number of errors, at least we were both able to read one when we sat down. Service also improved and the staff working that night were doing their best (though I still believe they could benefit with at least 1 more headcount). The steam bun (bao) wasn't fresh/soft and the soft shell crab was past its prime (wife stopped eating it but neither of us got sick). Overall, a much better experience than our last visit though still quite some room to continue to improve.
This place was really good. I like seafood but it has to be good stuff or it really. Let's say it does not like my body. But I had the shrimp and calamari hibachi and man was it phenomenal I don't know what else to say about it. But it was definitely very good and just a nice pleasant dinner and evening altogether.
We came in on a Wednesday during lunch and were very pleased by the quick service and warm and accommodating staff. We each ordered a lunch hibachi which came with both salad and soup, not either/or which was impressive to me. We also each ordered a basic sushi roll and were pleasantly surprised by how fresh the fish was, and how fresh the rolls were...the rice in the rolls was still a little warm! Very generous portions for lunch. I also ordered a Tokyo mule cocktail which was very refreshing and yummy, the sake in it was very light, it didn't even taste alcoholic but I felt the warmth in my face and ears so I know it was there. We usually travel pretty far for our favorite sushi and hibachi spots, so I'm really thankful to have found a place I like in my work neighborhood! We will be back.
Nori is a nice Japanese hibachi restaurant, the food is just good but the service es really good , the cook was really friendly and funny. He really makes me enjoy the experience. The prices are not expensive but they are not cheap so it is worth it.
